I've been neglectful of Songbird Avenue and am feeling a little guilty...They always have such beautiful kits and provide needed funds to MANY different charities...this month is no exception.

And this month the talents of Pamela Gibson of Polka Dot Potato join forces with Jan Crowley to make this beautiful kit. Money raised through this kit (minus paypal fees) go to help Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter. You can read all about it here.

Just a quick note to let everybody know that we are completely moved in to our new home...not completely settled, but moved. So, we close on our house Tuesday (Aug. 12)...we are very excited and not at all prepared. Imagine that! I haven't packed one box, it all seems so unreal...I guess I'll be spending the next few days going through our junk and boxing things up. I plan on taking a break on Saturday 'cause it's my 31st (YIKES) birthday and I want to be able to go out to dinner and spend some time with family. So, I may not post for a few days. I do have a new paper pack I'm finishing up and will post that once I get a minute to finish it and load it on 4 Shared.

It's been a busy week. I finished up with summer school, did interviews for paraprofessional positions (3 positions...19 interviews...phew) in my classroom, had to find a new loan for the house (don't get me started), and began a second round of fertility meds (this last round was unsuccessful...I'm still hopeful).

Hi All!

Hope you are doing well. Sorry there was no freebie the last few days...I've been working on stuff for the new house...we have like 2 1/2 weeks until move in day!!!! Wow!!!

I'm wondering if anybody has any requests for kit colors/themes? I wanted to start working on some additional kits but would LOVE to hear from you all about what you are interested in...colors...themes...types of elements...etc. Please leave me your thoughts/ideas/suggestions and I'll use them in my future designs. Well, tomorrow I get to babysit my cute little nephew...he's getting so big. Maybe I'll take some pics and post them. Then this weekend Joe and I are going to look at furniture for the new house and maybe head over to the house and take measurements for window blinds. We'll see.

Fertility Update...

I just got back from my Reproductive Endocrinologist and was informed that I have a nice sized follicle (where the egg is released) on the Left side (actually 2, but probably only the largest will release)! Perfect, that is the side with a tube so my chances for getting pregnant this cycle are...get this...NORMAL! WOW! I have to give myself a trigger shot tonight to encourage the follicle to release it's egg...which I'm very nervous about...I don't like needles. Then it's business as usual and then wait to see what happens.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that I was pretty excited about what I found out at the Dr.

RAKs....

I learned something new today in the wonderful world of digiscrapping...there's this thing called RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) where digital scrappers take pictures from fellow digiscrapping pals and create a LO for them. SOOOO...I decided to do one for my friend Jeanne over at Creative Bliss. I hope she likes it...I snagged a photo of her cute daughter Jessica from her blog...hope she doesn't mind :)

Summer Sunset

Okay...I've finished the papers for this kit and added in a little sneak peak of what you might find in the elements! :) I absolutely LOVE the colors in this kit...I hope you like them as much as I do! I had a lot of fun creating the papers in this kit and I hope you have as much fun using them to scrap your memories!

Sweet Boy

Here is my latest LO...I had lots of fun doing this and actually scraplifted from July Guest Creative Goddess "Ivana" at Scrap Artists...here is her LO

WHAT's HAPPENING???
I've recovered from my surgery and my right tube was completely removed. I started on Clomid (this encourages more eggs to mature) and have been MISERABLE on them. LOADS of Hot Flashes, Nausea, Headaches, Heartburn, and Fuzziness. YUCK! One more day of pills and we'll see if it works. Finger crossed!!!!!

Joe and I also found a house and are praying things work out so that we can close on August 8...the day before my 31st birthday...NICE BIG PRESENT!!! I don't have a picture to post right now but it's a cute, old house that is perfect for us to start out in. It will need some work, but that's okay 'cause we want to make it OUR home...

Busy Week Ahead........

This week is going to be very busy....Joe and I will be looking for a house and hoping to find something we can't live without! Then on Thursday I head to the hospital for surgery to repair/remove my right fallopian tube. I'm a little nervous...but looking for a house has kept my mind a little removed from what is happening. The surgery shouldn't last more then an hour and I should be able to come home that night...Fingers crossed that all goes well and this is an answer to my prayers of starting a family. While I am on the mend I hope to find a position that is comfortable AND allows me to do some digi designing...it's been a while since I've had a freebie.

Anyway...Hope you all have a great week and I'll see you after my surgery...hopefully with news of success and a new home!
